Their lecture describes the current economic situation in Bulgaria and it explains the state of the country during the Economic crisis of 2008-2012 and then during the politican crisis in Bulgaria of 2013. They also explain the posibility of nternship programs in the Institute for Market Economics.

Rosen Plevneliev – A Better Future: Who Needs to Take the Initiative?

(November 13, 2013) President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rosen Plevneliev, visited the American University in Bulgaria to meet with students and to deliver a talk on the issues Bulgaria is currently facing. President Plevneliev talked about the dependency of the government on oligarchic structures, the ineffective judiciary system, the under-performing economy, the lack of government transparency, and the poor quality of healthcare. However, the President finished on an optimistic note, remarking that the future is bright and that “every one of us matters in our journey towards the European democracy and prosperity.”
