JMC Professor Melody Gilbert is a passionate educator, filmmaker and journalist who teaches multimedia journalism and documentary production at the American University in Bulgaria. When AUBG student Stoil Stoilov approached her with the idea for AUBGTalks, she jumped at the opportunity to help.

“When I came to AUBG, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of events on campus. One evening I was so frustrated because there were three coinciding lectures, all of which I wanted to attend. That is when I decided to start AUBGTalks.”

Stoil is a graduate of the American University in Bulgaria, majoring in Computer Science and Business Administration.
